    For a long time, I was signing my correspondences with “Art and Peace”, until one day, a good friend told me she loved that, and from that moment on, it became “Art, Peace, and Love… What could be better!”

    This exhibition is a tribute to Deborah.

    Intuition is truly artistic. It is this intuition that connects the art of Mark Johnson, Yong Jo Ji, Richard Lazzaro and Xiao Shunzhi. Their art embodies both modern painting and Chinese painting, both of which are intuitive, abstract and suggestive. They delight in their vigorous and lyrical expression.

    “The earliest extant record of recycled paper appears in 901AD. A favored consort of the Emperor wrote sutra in memory of his death on paper recycled from his letters. I recycled old sutra and created the pieces with hand writing of a loved one for her memory”.
